FREDERICK B. BEILSTEIN IV
Senior Advisor
In addition to serving as a Senior Advisor to The Beilstein Group, Beilstein currently serves as Managing Director for Essex Capital Group. Previously, Beilstein served as Managing Director for Crown Capital Investments, where he focused on lower middle market private equity related transactions. Beilstein also served as Senior Advisor for Wilmington Trust where he was the lead advisor and creator of a franchising sub-strategy group within Wilmington Trust, and provided advice and strategic thinking to the firm’s parent company’s franchise banking group within M&T Bank.
In addition, Beilstein served as Interim President & COO of ACG Pizza Partners, LLC (dba Stevi B’s Pizza). Beilstein was hired by Argonne Capital Group to strategically evaluate the brand and develop enhanced performance improvement tactics. Prior to ACG, Beilstein served as a Board Member, President & CEO of Goldco, LLC, a 110-unit Burger King franchise. Goldco was successfully sold in 2012, and Beilstein remained with the company through 2013 completing a successful transition and leading an add-on acquisition of an existing franchisee. Beilstein was instrumental in Goldco becoming an industry leader. By strengthening its management team and restructuring its corporate as well as field organization, Goldco became an operational and technology leader within the QSR franchisee space. Beilstein was also appointed to the Burger King Marketing Council by the Brand, National Franchise Association and fellow franchisees.
Beilstein’s franchising and operational experience began as a founding Partner of Equicorp Partners where he primarily focused on identifying, analyzing and structuring potential investment opportunities. In addition, Beilstein was actively involved in all advisory and consulting engagements taken on by Equicorp. Such engagements included operational and financial advisory primarily focused around consumer related brands and Franchising businesses.
Prior to Equicorp’s founding, Beilstein was with Credit Suisse and Morgan Stanley, advising high net worth individuals, foundations and endowments. His career began as a corporate banker, first with SunTrust Bank as a Senior Credit Analyst and later Sanwa Bank as a Relationship Manager.
He received a B.A. in Accounting from The George Washington University and an M.B.A. with a concentration in Finance from The Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University. Beilstein is a former member of YPO (Young Presidents’ Organization).
